Hello, I am your guide today as we travel through Brazil. Along the way you might want to buy some of their world famous coffee. We might be able see some holiday traditions being shown in the streets. If we have time, we could stop and see the National Soccer team play here in the biggest soccer stadium in the world. O.K, the driver is ready. Let’s go! We are going to have a fun time learning about the geography, culture and sports of Brazil.

Welcome to tropical Brazil. Brazil is located in South America on the east coast. Of the east coast, Brazil takes up 4,655 miles of it. Almost the entire coastline! With a total land area of 5,289,090 miles, Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world. One of Brazil’s most famous tourist attractions is the Amazon River. One of the main reasons it is so famous is because it is the second largest river in the world. The Amazon River goes through the Amazon Rain Forest and into the Atlantic Ocean.

Along with the physical features, Brazil grows a lot of fresh produce. In Brazil, it is common to see fields of strawberries, pineapple and melons in rural areas of this wonderful country. Some other produce you will find growing there is bananas, red bananas, green bananas and guavas. Their most common plant is the coffee bean. People in Brazil drink coffee like we drink milk and soda. Everybody drinks coffee, even the kids! Their coffee is sold throughout the world.

Now it’s time to talk about sports, specifically soccer. Brazil has won a record five world cups and is currently ranked #2 in the world according to FIFA. The country goes totally nuts on game day. Their stadium is the biggest in the world and it is jammed packed with spectators. Brazil has produced some of the best soccer players ever, including Bebeto, Romirio and the world famous Pele.

Well, this concludes our tour of Brazil. I hope that you learned a lot about the culture and geography of this amazing country such as, the Amazon river and rain forest. Enjoy the rest of your stay here as well as the rest of the day.
