I think "The Circuit" is a comedy because I think it follows the plotline of a comedy. It starts as normalcy because it seems that the main character knows what is going to happen and just goes along with it. There is a conflict when Panchito is called on to read on his first day of school and he doesn't know many English words so he doesn't get very far. He realizes the conflict when he finds out that he needs a lot of help on his English. Panchito resolves the conflict when he starts to see his teacher for lunch so he can work on his reading and expand his English vocabulary. His life returns to normal when he comes home from school one day and and finds out that his family is moving again back to their other home. Ponchito doesn't want to go though because his teacher proposed to him to teach him how to play the trumpet. If this story was tragedy, this would be the death symbolism because his dreams of playing the trumpet are now pretty much gone.
